To set the record straight, the Kuki-Chin armed groups had no substantial record of military operation against the Indian security forces till the time SoO was conceived on 1st August, 2005, under the initiative of the Assam Rifles. There is no formidable evidence to suggest that Kuki-Chin SoO initiative was done with an official concurrence of the state government of Manipur. On 22nd August 2008, SoO became a formal tripartite framework involving the Government of India, Government of Manipur and Kuki-Chin armed groups. The term ‘Kuki-Chin’ is used here to refer to the alleged involvement of cadres and leaders/parties having their origin in Chin State of Myanmar. …

Meitei Alliance – KUKI SoO Terror Trials (Sep 2026)Download

Background NoteAs the saying goes, ‘a suspension of operations cannot become a suspension of law’, Manipur state is apparently reeling under a similar proverbial state of derogation of rule of law, owing to the Kuki-Chin armed groups led Suspension of Operations (SoO hereafter) with the Government of India in 2005, and the Government of Manipur […]

["post-473","ma_information","type-ma_information","status-publish","hentry
["GET
