Meitei Alliance Launched to Unite Meiteis Across the Globe

MEITEI ALLIANCE was launched on Friday, November 24, 2023. The Alliance is a non-profit, non-political, transnational consortial platform initiated by various Meitei organisations and individuals based outside the State of Manipur, India. Its broad objective is to foster unity and progress of Meitei ethnie worldwide. It envisions to play roles such as hyper-democratic unifying force on key Meitei issues and providing thought leadership through collaboration with eminent scholars, leaders, and experts. It also plans to enhance value creation by empowering individuals through innovative digital technology and media, positioning itself as a leading ethnic entity.

The launch event was attended by invitees and representatives of several Meitei organisations from various cities of the United States of America, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East, and India. The most remarkable hallmark of the launch event was the adoption of Meitei Alliance’s Constitution announced by member of the Board of Advisors Dr. Kh. Palin, a prominent figure of Meitei ethnie. The Constitution reflects the collective commitment of the organisations that have come together to respect the principles and objectives set forth by Meitei Alliance.
